On Friday I had netball practise it was ok. After we had done some practising we played a team from Te Awamutu Intermediate. On Saturday my team the TAI Force had a game of netball so did all the other teams. We played a team called the force to but they were a different team. Even though we lost I still think we palyed really good. After netball my gratgrand parnets took me to Elbert Park because there was a bagpipe contest. I don’t really know much about it because I didn’t get until the end. The Te Awamutu band came 4th which is pretty good I think. When I got there all the bands that had turned up were playing together it was so cool. My two friends where there to because there dad was playing. The bands were so good!!!! It was a really fun day to bad I didn’t get to wacth it all!!
Day 1
On Monday 12th May Matamata and Te Awamutu intermediates went to Totara Springs Band and Choir Christian Camp. As the bus started to arrive kids from Te Awamutu Intermediate were getting their bags ready to put on the bus. Instead of going on the bus Jennifer, Peta, Kendall and I went with Petas dad. When we got to the camp the kids that were out by the trailer had to help unpack everything. When everything was out of the trailer and bus we all went to our cabins in my cabin there was Jeniffer, Peta, Kendell, Cassie, Alice, Aggie and some more girls. I was in cabin number 1E. At the camp there was so much to do like go on walks, go down to the two playgrounds, go on the lullaby and lots more. Our first day and we all ready have three practises and then two tomorrow and a dress rehearsal and then the concert.
Day 2
The day of the concert wow!! It was so exciting. We all had breakfast and then got ready for our first practice of the day. Finally its the concert everyones been waiting for it. It was amazing all the parents that were watching us were amazed. after we had sung and played instruments the salvation army band played as well. At the end the seiner band and the salvation army band were playing together.
Day 3 The Final Day
It was the last day everyone was tired. We arrived at school around 2:00pm while everyone was still at school it was one of the best camps ever!!!!!
On the 25th of April I went with my grandad and the Te Awamutu Highland pipe band to Otorohanga for the Anzac Day parade at 1o am. It was a very long parade and heaps of people talked as well as a high-school student. At the end of the ceremony a lot of people put really cool wreaths on the monument. On the way up and down they played The Brown Haired Maiden, The Green Hills of Tyrol, When the battle is Over, Scotland the Brave and lots lots more. About 12pm we left for Kawhia and it was kind of the same except it wasn’t as long as Otorohangas one. At the start when they were getting warmed up there was a group of kids listening and going up and then running away because it was to loud for them. My grandad and Kathy said even if I am not playing next year I can still walk with because I will have my uniform. After we got back to Te Awamutu we went to the R.S.A to play a few tunes and have tea. After the band played I met grandads sister she is really cool. It was such a fun day I cant wait till next year when I’m playing with them.
On Thursday 24th April I got to go with Kainga Aroha Community house to Rotorua Aquatic Centre. When I got to the Kainga Aroha Community house I made a new friend named Emma. On the way we stopped of at a place where there was a calf, some chickens, a goat and a ostrich. At the pools there was a pool that was like a river. All you had to do was relax and you got taken around. Also there was a rocket and you had to run across it and try to get to the other side and there was a tramp were you could bounce off it and land in the pool. Outside the pools but still in the area there was some buckets and a rainbow and some other things that had water coming out of them. The buckets got filled up with cold water and then they tipped and all the cold water came out it was freezing. It was a very tiring day though!!!!!
